Higher Secondary

Secondary education focuses on the all round development of 11 to 14 year-olds.

For Stds V to VIII following additional subjects are taught 

• A Third language from Std. V to VIII (subjects taught are Hindi and Kannada)

• Art

• Physical Education 

• Education in Moral & Spiritual Values 

• Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service.

Pupils are prepared for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Examination held at the end of Standard X.

• Compulsory Subjects : for Stds IX & X 

• English

• A Second language (languages offered Kannada/Hindi/Sanskrit)

• Mathematics

• Science - Physics, Chemistry and Biology

• History, Civics and Geography. 

• One optional subject : Subjects offered for choice at present are:  Computer Science, Physical Education and Commercial Applications

• Practical records of the science subjects. The credits will count for the award of Certificate.
