Vidyodaya Public School Participated in Yogathon

On 15th January 2023, the state government, sports and Ayush departments, in collaboration with yoga organisations, conducted Yogathon across the state. More than 5 lakh people participated in the event. The event was supposed to happen last September but was postponed because of rain. The administration has identified the place to conduct the yoga performance. This is an effort to leverage the power of youth, where more than 5 lakh young people from different districts would participate in an effort to break the Guinness World Record on Yogasana. All proper arrangements was made including transportation for NSS, NCC, yoga institutes, various public organisations and educational institutes.

In Udupi District Yogathon-2023 organised at End point Manipal to create a Guinness World Record. The event was part of the ongoing 26th National Youth Festival. More than 85% of the youths who had registered participated in the Yogathon and performed several asanas.Various asanas were performed by the participants under the guidance of yoga gurus.

Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate Sri Kurma Rao M, MLA Sri Raghupati Bhat and other senior officials participated in the event.

Over 15,000 students participated in the Yogathon event, and from Vidyodaya Public School over 250 students and teachers participated in the Yogathon. The event was fruitful and grand success.
