We,The NCC Cadets of Vidyodaya Public School had an exciting opportunity to Visit the Naval base INS Kadamba on 13th April 2025.
We were thrilled and awestruck at the beauty of the base
By the favour of luck in our hands We got to Have a look of 2 Indian Naval Ships
The Versatile INS Mormugao And the Majestic INS Vikrant.
INS Mormugao is a formidable Destroyer. It is the second ship of the Visakhapatnam-class stealth guided-missile destroyers of the Indian Navy. While INS Vikrant is India's first indigenously designed and built aircraft carrier, symbolizing a significant milestone in the country's naval capabilities.
Indian Navy is powerful with 2 aircraft carriers with one of them being INS Vikrant.
We are fortunate enough to have had the experience of visiting such a prestigious part of the Indian Navy.
We were a total of Five Cadets
Cdt.Khyathi Bhat,Cdt.Niharika L Devadiga,Cdt.Apeksha H Pai,Cdt.Yashmith L Kunder and Cdt.Vidhith Shet along with Care taker office Sunil Sir.
Our journey started at 6.00 am in the morning with a heart full of curiosity and excitement to witness the enormous INS Vikrant. After 5 hours of long journey As we reached the Base Our joy and excitement doubled by learning the fact that we will be going to Visit a destroyer too additionally.
The experience of Visiting the ships cannot be described in words. The officers at the ship were amiable enough. They explained every minute details of the ships and at the same time humble enough to clear our doubts.
We gained a lot of knowledge and the sense of respect for the defence system has increased even more in our eyes.
We had come with a heart of curiosity and returned with a heart filled with pride and gratefulness.
Whether it be the moment of entering the base, stepping into the ship , adoring the wide and long decks or getting shocked at the no.of compartments or the features of the ship, each and every moment spent and experienced was thrilling and memorable.
We will never forget such a great opportunity given to us and all the amazing views we experienced and of course the knowledge about ships that we inherited.
It is An absolute Dream Come True moment to all 5 of us.
We would like to take a moment to thank 6 Kar Naval Unit & Special Mention to Our C O Multhani Sir for arranging this great and perfectly organized journey. This visit would not have been successful without his guidance.
We are extremely thankful to our always supporting Management Committee as well as our beloved enthusiastic Principal ma'am Mrs.Anitha P Raj for providing us with all the facilities.
