A quiz competition at school is an enriching experience that combines the excitement of a contest with the joy of learning. It serves as a platform for students to showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and critical thinking skills while fostering a love for education and a competitive spirit. These events contribute to the overall development of students and are an essential part of the school experience.
The Inter-house Quiz Competition was organized for the students of Classes 6, 7 and 8.
The Quiz began with the introduction of the quizmaster, the rules of the interhouse quiz competition were announced. The teams representing the four houses –Dharma, Prema, Shanti and Satya consisted of 5 participants each. We also had an enthusiastic audience in the students of classes 6, 7 and 8 as they watched the participants try their intellect.
The Quiz was divided into 6 rounds encompassing different areas of intellectual development viz., Geography, Current Affairs, Mathematics, Science, Audio Visual Skills and Mixed Bag (Rapid Fire).
The students participated with all their hearts. They were very responsive, wellprepared, enthusiastic, and followed the rules. They skillfully answered the questions asked. Though some of the questions were very tricky, the teams tried to answer them with confidence. The questions put forth to the teams were intriguing and exciting. The audience cheered when the teams answered correctly and they also got a chance to participate every time the teams answered incorrectly.
The competition was very tough but in the end the most exciting and thrilling battle was won by the Dharma House. The second position was grabbed by the Prema House.
Organizing a quiz competition involves meticulous planning. Teachers and the event coordinators deserve accolades for putting up such an informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.
