26th January 2024, the 75th Republic day, is a day of national rejoicing. It is a celebration of our unity, diversity and the values that bind us as a nation. It was celebrated with pomp, zeal and spirit at our school.
The program was conducted by the students of Vidyodaya Public School and Anantheshwara English Medium High School. It began at 9 a.m.with a prayer. Miss Dhanya Naveen Shettigar was the Master of Ceremony for the event.
The welcome address was delivered by Miss Vaishnavi Rao. The chief guest of the event, Smt Roopa Ballal, Joint Secretary of Vidyodaya trust along with other dignitaries Sri K Ganesh Rao, Secretary of Vidyodaya trust, Smt Anitha P Raj, Principal of Vidyodaya Public School and Smt Sandhya Karnad, Headmistress of Sri Anantheshwara English Medium High School unfurled the national flag.
The students displayed excellent discipline and coordination through their march past. It was the first that the Scouts and Guides’ and students’ troops were led by the NCC Battalion of Vidyodaya Public School.
The school choir rendered a fabulous medley of National song, National Anthem and flag song,filling the atmosphere with patriotic zeal to commemorate the nation’s sovereignty. It was followed by stirring speeches by the students, Miss Lakshana and Miss Ayesha Falak.
The chief guest address served as an encouragement to the gathering.
Miss Kanishka Bhat concluded the event with the vote of thanks. Sweets were distributed to all at the end of the auspicious and memorable day.
