On 12/01/2024 Friday Pre-primary section students and teachers of Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi showcased a vibrant and culturally rich Udupi paryaya festival activity. The event commenced under the guidance of Principal Mrs Anitha P Raj, with a ceremonial shanka nada led by Mrs. Roopa Ballal, the joint secretary of the Vidyodaya Trust. The procession featured traditional elements such as Tatiraya, Kalasa, Deepa, Thala Bhajan, Tiger Dance, and a captivating Peacock Dance, all accompanied by rhythmic drum beats, Yakshagana, Durga Devi,Rama, Vishnu, Parashurama, Hanuman, Krishna, Vishwaroopa
were dressed in this attire.
Eight children adorned the role of Swamijis, meticulously enacting the rituals observed during the Paryaya Utsava. Gathering in a symbolic darbar, the young participants, Pre-Primary co-ordinator Mrs. Latha R Nayak, elucidated the significance of Paryaya. Mrs Roopa Ballal enhanced the spiritual ambiance by singing a soulful bhajan dedicated to Lord Krishna.
The program concluded on a joyous note as everyone partook in the Swamiji's prasada, marking the end of a culturally immersive and enlightening event for the pre-primary section at Vidyodaya Public School.
