“Connecting home and school makes a great community of learners”
Reaffirming our commitment to facilitate better partnership between home and school, a ‘Parent Orientation Programme’ for Classes I to X was held on Saturday, 8th June 2024 at Vidyodaya Public School under the leadership of the School Managing Committee and Principal, Mrs. Anitha P Raj.
This time, the orientation programme was conducted in the respective classrooms by the teachers so as to ensure maximum participation by the parents and also to provide smooth execution of the session. The teachers with the help of visually engaging power point presentations provided an insight into the subjects taught, teaching methodologies employed, and assessment strategies utilized to measure student progress., general instructions regarding the rules of conduct at school, the extracurricular activities, the support required from parents and an explanation of the school's approach to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Following the presentations, parents had the opportunity to engage in an interactive question-and-answer session with the teacher. This session allowed parents to seek clarification on specific concerns, share feedback, and express their expectations from the school. It was indeed an engaging session which provided an opportunity for parents to know what to expect in the coming academic year and also to equip themselves for it.
Feedback collected from parents indicated a high level of satisfaction with the orientation programme. Parents appreciated the detailed information provided and expressed confidence in the school's commitment to their child's education. Several parents highlighted the interactive nature of the session and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with school staff and fellow parents.
We, at Vidyodaya Public School, strongly believe that education is a shared responsibility between dedicated teachers, motivated students and enthusiastic parents!
