Vidyodaya Public School celebrated NCC Day with great enthusiasm on 17th January 2025, Friday. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Major G. Balakrishna Shetty, the Guest of Honour, and Smt. Roopa Ballal, Joint Secretary of Vidyodaya Trust. The programme was presided over by Smt. Anitha P. Raj, Principal and Head of the Vidyodaya NCC Sub-unit.
The celebration included a variety of competitions for the cadets, such as Patriotic Singing, Poster-making, Best Commanding, and Best Cadet awards. Physical activities like tug-of-war and drill parades added energy and excitement to the event. The enthusiastic participation of the cadets reflected their dedication and team spirit. Winners of these competitions were honored with medals presented by the Chief Guest, creating proud and memorable moments.
A special highlight of the event was the recognition of 22 cadets who had successfully completed a 10-day CATC camp. They were awarded certificates to acknowledge their commitment and achievements.
