#Vidyodaya Public School celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great splendour on 15th August 2024, embracing the theme 'Viksit Bharat,' which reflects the government's vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. The school campus was beautifully adorned with flowers and rangoli, adding to the festive atmosphere. The programme began with a prayer, and the Head Girl, Miss Vaishnavi P Rao of Std. X, Vidyodaya Public School, gracefully carried out the duties as the Master of Ceremony. Miss Shamis Dinesh Kunder of Std. X, Vidyodaya Public School welcomed all the attendees to the celebration.
The flag hoisting ceremony was led by the Chief Guest, Mrs. Suman Shekar, Assistant State Organising Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, along with School President Sri. N Nagaraj Ballal, Headmistress of Anantheshwara Eng. Med. High School Smt. Sandhya Karnad and Principal of Vidyodaya Public School Smt. Anitha. P. Raj. The National Anthem and flag song were sung with pride. Independence Day speeches were delivered by K Shreenik S Sherigar of Std. X, Shri Anantheshwara Eng. Med. High School, and Miss Prapti Mukesh Shet of Std. X, Vidyodaya Public School. The school choir from Shri Anantheshwara Eng. Med. High School sang a patriotic song, filling the air with national pride. Chief Guest Mrs. Suman Shekar addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the historic day, and was felicitated by the School President Sri N Nagaraj Ballal.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Miss Manishri Shetty of Std. X, Shri Anantheshwara English Medium High School. Sweets were distributed among the students, marking the end of a memorable celebration. The day served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made for India's freedom and the collective responsibility to work towards a brighter and more inclusive future.
