Gita Jayanti Celebration

Geetha Jayanathi at Vidyodaya Public School Udupi

The Pre-Primary section of Vidyodaya Public School, Udupi, celebrated Gita Jayanti with great enthusiasm and devotion, commemorating the day when Lord Krishna imparted the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna.

The program commenced with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Mrs. Anitha P. Raj, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the awakening of knowledge. A serene and divine atmosphere was created with a melodious invocation of prayers and bhajans dedicated to Lord Krishna.

The young students actively participated by chanting shlokas from the Bhagavad Gita, demonstrating their dedication and learning. The highlight of the event was a captivating enactment of the iconic Gita Upadesha by the UKG students. Dressed as Krishna and Arjuna, and with a beautifully crafted chariot as the backdrop, the children brought the scene to life with charm and grace.

Mrs. Latha R. Nayak, the Pre-Primary Coordinator, addressed the gathering with a simple and engaging explanation of the significance of Gita Jayanti. Her words ensured that even the youngest participants understood and appreciated the essence of the occasion.

As a mark of devotion, all students offered flowers to the holy Bhagavad Gita and sought blessings, making the event a spiritually enriching experience.

This celebration served as a meaningful opportunity for the children to learn about the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita while fostering values of devotion, discipline, and respect for Indian culture.
