दातव्यमिति यद्दानं दीयतेऽनुपकारिणे |
देशे काले च पात्रे च तद्दानं सात्त्विकं स्मृतम् || 20||
The above shloka means Charity given to a worthy person simply because it is right to give, without consideration of anything in return, at the proper time and in the proper place, is stated to be in the mode of goodness.
Today at Vidyodaya Public School all students were given "THE BHAGAVADGEETA" which was donated by Shree A T Nana Patil ( Ex MP , Jalgaon Maharashtra from 2009 to 2019) , grand parent of the student of Vidyodaya Public School.
He was the President of Municipal Elections council Jalgaon from 1999 to 2005, President of APMC Jalgaon from 2002 to 2007 and Director of Jalgaon district cooperative bank from 2009 to 2014.
The distribution was done by his daughter Mrs Priyanka Prakash Nikam who has completed BSc. Biology from Pune University and is now a home maker and wildlife photographer.
She is married to Shree Prakash Amrit Nikam (IPS 2012 batch) who has served as ASP- Mysore ,SP – Bidar,SP – Vijayapur,SP - Raichur districts of Karnataka and is currently working as SP , Anti Naxal Force Karnataka. Before coming to Indian police service, He completed his BE in Computers from Pune University Maharashtra. He worked at Tata Consultancy services for 5 years at Pune and USA.
The distribution ceremony was hosted by Mrs. Chandrika Bhat (Co-ordinator of class 1-5). Mrs. Saku(Co-ordinator of class 9-10) presented a bouquet and welcomed Mrs. Priyanka . Mrs. Shubha Rao (Co-ordinator of class 6-7-8) presented a bouquet to our Principal Mrs. Anitha P. Raj. The ceremony commenced by uncovering a copy of Bhagavat Geeta.
Mrs. Anitha P.Raj , Principal of Vidyodaya Public School introduced Shree A T Nana Patil , his daughter Mrs Priyanka Prakash Nikam and son in law Shree Prakash Amrit Nikam and also enlightened the students about the importance of reciting and understanding Bhagavat Geeta. Also Mrs. Priyanka addressed the gathering. The ceremony concluded on a high note by the school choir reciting bhajans and chanting Raam naam.
