World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of our planet. It was celebrated with great fervor at Vidyodaya Public school. Our principal spoke to the students regarding the importance of the day at the school assembly. Students of class X along with the Principal and the teachers planted saplings around the school campus. The objective being, to increase awareness among students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. Students of the IX and X classes were also asked to make posters, banners and collages on the theme of Environment Day, the best of them were put up on the display board. All the students participated in the program with much keenness. The day was a great success, and it certainly made a difference to the way we view our environment.
