On 22nd February 2024 election was conducted in Vidyodaya Public School by Class V students. School election process is a time where students get to know about the process involved in choosing the right candidate for a particular post, by using their right to vote and choose a governing body which represents the students of school as one.
The event was hosted by Rajath Pai of Class V and Aahan Shetty of Class V welcomed the gathering. Anvitha Kini, Surabhi and Rama Rao were nominated by the teachers handling Social Studies. Nominees were selected on their class performance co-scholastics participation in school events, initiatives and behaviour
Students conducted the polling procedure at different corners of the premises. Ballot boxes were used for vote casting.Students casted their vote one after another as they received identification mark on their index finger as sign of participation.A sense of secrecy and respect for voting could be seen during the election process throughout.
At the end of the process, votes were counted by the in-charge teachers.Among the three candidates Anvitha Kini of Class V won the election. Vote of thanks was rendered by Yash Somashekar of Class V. School Principal Mrs. Anitha P Raj, Primary teachers along with the help of teaching and non-teaching staff aided in the smooth functioning of the events.
