On 27-01-2024 an exciting drawing competition was organized at Vidyodaya Public School by School Tobacco Control Committee on the theme of "Harmful effects of tobacco". The event aimed to understand the various harmful effects of tobacco and students to express their artistic talents. The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students from standard 7th and 8th.
The drawing competition took place in the school exam hall. The event started at 10:00am and was coordinated by the class teachers and Coordinator of class 7th and 8th. There are 12 students of class 7th and 8th enthusiastically took part in the competition. The participants' artistic skills and creativity were truly commendable. The theme for the competition, "Harmful effects of tobacco," encouraged students to depict the effect of tobacco to the human health. It aimed to inspire young minds to create awareness about tobacco consumption and it's bad effect.
The art teacher of the school evaluated the artwork based on criteria such as creativity, technique, use of colors, and adherence to the theme. The judging process was conducted objectively and ensured fairness for all participants. Vishruth Samaga of class 7th has got the 1st prize ,Rithu Shenoy of class 8th has got the second prize and Samyuktha of class 7th has got the 3rd prize.
The winners of the competition were announced in an award ceremony held at the conclusion of the event. The first, second, and third place prizes were distributed by the principal Mrs. Anitha P Raj. Additionally, participants who showed exceptional artistic abilities were recognized.
