It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge and appreciate the generous gesture of Mr. Velauthapillai, a renowned athlete and winner of the Merit Certificate at the 1st South Asia Masters Athletics Open Championships 2025. Organized by the South India Masters Athletics Association, this prestigious event was held at the Mangala Stadium in Mangalore, Karnataka, India, from January 10th to 12th, 2025.
Mr. Velauthapillai's outstanding performance in the 300mt hurdles event, where he secured second place with a remarkable time of 0:27:86, as well as his notable achievements in the 10km running race and 5km running race, where he secured third place, is a testament to his dedication and passion for athletics.
As a senior citizen, he has demonstrated a remarkable commitment to giving back to society, and his selfless actions are an inspiration to us all. We are deeply grateful for Mr. Velauthapillai's visit to Vidyodaya Public School, where he donated 7 sets of notebooks to be awarded as prizes to our students. This generous donation will undoubtedly encourage our students to excel in both sports and academics, and we are thankful for his support.
